Far more effective than my mechanical toothbrush, at a fraction of the cost. It beats floss, too, as this is much easier to use. Buy!
It's a very good flosser, makes it easier as you don't need to hold a pice of floss in awkward positions. It's a very good price too.
I have tried the Waterpik vibrating flosser but find that this product is able to get between my tightly spaced teeth much easier. The stains from tea between my lower teeth are visibly reduced already, and this is primarily because I'm actually flossing now - I hate to floss normally, it's too messy and time-consuming, but with the shape of the flossing attachments it's much easier to get between my teeth!
The vibration button isn't definitely necessary (you can, after all, buy manual flossers in the same U shape) but once the floss is between the teeth I press the button for a few seconds, it vibrates as I move the flosser up and down, then I move on to the next space. It's much faster and neater than normal flossing! I haven't used the picks yet, no plans to.
At the risk of sounding lazy or cheap, I've found that the U-shaped flossing attachments will last for several uses before they get too frayed to use - I simply floss my upper teeth, rinse with water, floss my lower teeth, rinse again, then pour some mouthwash (most washes contain alcohol that kills any germs) then put the flosser away. I know replacement attachments aren't expensive but the only place I have found them is on Amazon and other online sites, so I don't want to be stuck with worn-out flossers!
