Braun Oral-B Vitality Sensitive Toothbrush Reviews

I bought one of these as I was going to have an operation done on my hand and was worried about trying to brush my teeth left handed as I am right handed (tried and ended up with bleeding gums, not a nice look).

Well I must admit to never having used one of these toothbrushes before the children have and I always think that they are quite noisy and not always a good idea to use as they make it a lazy way to clean your teeth, (they do also use a regular toothbrush) but I was wrong!

I tried it out using my right hand first just to get the hang of it afterall I didn't want a sore mouth as well as sore hand, and it worked a treat, put it into mouth press button (and so easy to use, the brush rotates and cleans, then press other button to turn off, to be left with the feeling of clean teeth, they actually felt smoother and looked cleaner. Even where my crown had come out and it had been filled was cleaner and felt smooth. No bleeding gums, it does say on the packet that bleeding can occur on first use, so don't get alarmed if on first use it does. I have to admit to becoming a little ocd with it after the first use as the feeling left by using it was so good (my teeth looked brighter and cleaner and they felt wonderful). I started to ask myself why oh why hadn't I bought one of these years ago. A great excuse to eat more then have to brush teeth more, maybe thats what happened re weight gain!

I bought the sensitive one as I have sensitive teeth and was truley impressed with the results.

The brush heads are just the right size some are too big (some manufacturers seem to think that people's mouths have grown), the weight of this brush is just right and when using it left handed a dream to use (now I have found I can do my teeth with either hand thanks to this device).

The recharge time is not a problem, I charged mine then used it for three/four times a day for five days, left it to recharge for the morning then by the afternoon it was ready to use. The charging unit is small, not some big bulky thing, so also great for travelling, the only downside is the two pinned plug, (I don't have one of these plugs in the main bathroom so have to leave it in the ensuite), pretty sure that not everyone does have one of these, so this is something to consider when thinking of purchasing one of these, just where to plug it in?

The noise is not that loud (the older versions used to be a lot louder that is from the ones I can rememeber other people using), so I was quite suprised by the low level of noise ommitted from this.

The only other downside is the cost of the replacement brush heads, best idea is to buy a couple of sets when you see them in the sales and put them away. The cost of regular toothbrushes is not that cheap either and the results I feel are not of the same standard, this toothbrush hits the note with myself, I have gone on about it so much that now my husband wants me to buy him one.

They are also an easy one to clean, the 'toothpaste monster' (the one that gunges the brush up with dried toothpaste has now disappeared from our bathroom sink and the toothpaste lasts longer, as you don't seem to need as much as on a regular brush maybe because of the shape of the brush rounder rather than oval.

Good toothbrush for it's price!! Jst remember to charge it you will
need an adapter plug.

I bought one of these toothbrushes many years ago and although it still works fairly well, I thought it was time to update and get the sensitive version. I waited for the Superdrug sale and bought this at half price! It's fab value and gets the job done extremely well. I'm very impressed with the results of the sensitive brush head.

It's so simple to use, press on/off button and away it goes. The timer stutters after 2 minutes and it's great that it continues rotating after the timer. I know other brushes switch off after the timer alerts which is very annoying. The brush rotates speedily which leaves a pleasant feel and cleans extremely well, then press the button to turn off, to be left with the feeling of clean smooth teeth.

So you need to bear this in mind as it's not supplied.

Only down side is that Superdrug don't tend to stock sensitive brush heads in all their stores so I need to order on line. Something to bear in mind. it's worth it as i prefer the softness of the sensitive bruch head - it still gets the job done but is less taxing on tooth enamel and gums.

Overall I highly recommend this purchase for great clean teeth and simplicity in design and for use.
